Hiding and revealing columns from the search results
On iTrackIT, in order to make the search results easier to navigate and to help hide unnecessary information, it is possible to hide columns from the search results.
Once you have completed a search there will be an item available within the top toolbar called "Columns", click on this option and a drop-down menu will be opened. The names of items in the drop-down menu will correspond to the column headings.
An image of the "Columns" dropdown boxIf a checkbox is ticked that means the column is currently hidden, an unticked checkbox means it is currently being displayed within the search results.
When you hover over an item in the dropdown menu, the background of the box will be highlighted in blue, if you click anywhere within this blue box the checkbox to the left of the name should change to ticked or unticked and changes to the search results should be visible immediately. Once you have finished selecting the columns you can close the dropdown by either using the "Close" button at the end of the menu or by clicking the "Columns" toolbar option that was used to open the menu. Any changes made using the columns menu will be saved in the browser cookies and will apply to future searches. (Note: Cookies must be enabled in the browser settings for changes made in the columns menu to be saved in future searches.)
